About Sorelle Italian Bistro

Francesca Rudé immigrated to San Jose, CA from the small town of Tricarico, Italy with her family in 1956. And now, she has decided to honor that heritage by opening Sorelle Italian Bistro. The name Sorelle, Italian for sisters, honors the strong family bond among the generations of women in her family from her own sisters, her Mother and Aunts, and her daughters. With the help and support of her husband and 3 daughters she is using original family recipes to create an exciting menu of Italian favorites including house made pasta and sauces. Francesca owned three restaurants in the 70’s and then decided to make a major career change and went to work for Hewlett Packard where she became the CEO’s Customer Advocacy Manager for 19 of her 34 year career.

In addition to an outstanding career at HP, she is the Social Director at Rinconada Hills where she has planned and catered events hosted on the property for the past 15 years.  During this time, it was important to her to give back to the community by raising money for Courageous Kids and be Chair for both Courageous Kids Day and Relay for Life events. She also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Silicon Valley Better Business Bureau and is a Board Member at Trans Access and the American Cancer Society.
